What are Nano Needles and what are their special features?
Nano Needles have tiny, metallic or silicone tips arranged in a rows. They don’t penetrate the dermis, making treatments painless and safe for sensitive skin. The Dr Pen A11 round nano cartridges are ideal for gentle serum infusion and glow-enhancing facials.
Do I need additional sterilization before use?
It's highly recommended to sterilize cartridges before use:
Dip Method: Pour alcohol solution into the container and soak the cartridge needle for a few minutes.
Spray Method: Spray alcohol solution directly onto the needle head of the cartridge.
How often can these cartridges be used?
You can use the Dr Pen A11 nano cartridges 2 to 3 times per week, depending on skin sensitivity and goals. Since they don’t create micro-injuries, frequent sessions are safe and effective for hydration, glow and daily maintenance without risk of irritation.
In which areas is it better not to use Nano Needles?
Avoid using Dr Pen A11 nano cartridges on broken skin, active acne lesions or open wounds. They’re also not suitable for deep scar or stretch mark treatment, as they don’t penetrate enough. Stick to healthy, intact skin for the best results.
How many needles are in one cartridge, and what tasks do they solve?
The Dr Pen A9 nano cartridges have a cluster of ultra-fine metal or silicone tips, which are rounded nano-points designed to softly push into the skin's outermost layer. These cartridges promote product absorption, hydration, and skin texture while preventing micro-injuries. They are good for treating dull, dry, or sensitive skin, as well as improving serum delivery.

very new to microneedling. I had it done during a facial and liked it so I did some research and decided to try the Dr. Pen A11. I have hyperpigmentation and acne scars and have been trying to reduce that. After I received my A11, I was a little squeamish about trying it on my face. I really don’t like needles. I used it on a portion of my arm first. I set the depth to 0.1 and the speed to 6 and went for it. It didn’t hurt and all. So I used it on my face with the skin booster hyaluronic acid I also received. I played around with the depth and speed on different areas of my face. I can tell a huge difference. My skin is firmer after one use. I can’t wait to use the A11 again but am waiting the required amount of time. I know I am going to love this and incorporating it as a new tool in my skincare routine. I narrowed my search to Dr. Pen after doing a lot of online research and seeking personal recommendations. I created a massive spreadsheet comparing the various models and finally decided on the A11. I did my first treatment four days ago and let me just say that I saw my face in a zoom meeting at work today and couldn’t believe how fresh and glowing my skin looked. Being aware of the on/off setting is all you need to steer clear and ensure a smooth treatment. I couldn’t be happier with the results of my first session and can’t wait to start on my friends and clients. I was debating between the M8S and the A11 since they both have anti-back flow features and use a great variety of cartridges to tackle different concerns. I felt the A11 would give me the most flexibility because of the automatic shut off when placed in the cradle and memory setting.
